How to cook the perfect Balian Spirali Pasta:

  • Fill a large pot of water. Bring to a boil. Add salt. Be generous, this salt seasons the pasta as it cooks and penetrates into every strand.
  • Add the dried Balian spirali pasta/ fusilli pasta and stir until the water returns to a boil. Cook your pasta al dente, no more and no less
  • Strain and cool briefly, but do not rinse. Rinsing washes away the starch that helps the sauce stick to the pasta. Toss in olive oil instead.
  • Quick tip: save some pasta water to add to your sauce
  • When ready to use, add to warm sauce, toss with your favourite meat or veggies, and let it simmer
  • Remove off the stove
  • Garnish with some herbs & cheese
